An 8 day journey with your fellow club members aboard the spectacular ss Catherine, the crown jewel of Uniworld’s boutique ships.“We have selected this very special voyage for you as part of our Windward Vineyard French Connection program: we wanted to share with you the source of our inspiration for Windward Pinot: that long narrow strip of land on the Eastern part of France, the rich terroirs of Bourgogne where soils vary from marl to limestone and from the top of a slope to the bottom of it… the land where Pinot was born. The style of Pinot we, here at Windward, strive to replicate thanks to our 15 acres divinely gifted with a very similar micro-climate.
We believe it is every true Pinot lover’s dream to at least once lay his/her eyes on the tiny La Romanee vineyard, and taste the earthy boldness of a Gevrey Chambertin, or the velvety smoothness of a Volnay, right in the heart of the vineyards that produced them.
